Fibre Optics

Fibre Optics Point to point communication can be carried out using fibre optic cables. Fibre optic cables can be used on parts of the network with high performance requirements, or where the risk of electrical and electromagnetic interference is high.

SCG designs, integrates and supplies a broad range of high performance fibre optic termination equipment and systems for the optical network.

Our products enable emerging and leading communications equipment to deliver optical networking systems to the rapidly growing long haul, metropolitan and last-mile access segments of the communications network.

Strong demand exists for all equipment associated with computer networking; particularly network switches and equipment associated with accessing the Internet.

SCG solutions cover termination of multimode fibre using Hot Cure, Cold Cure, and light crimp plus techniques. We offer Fibre optic link design, power budget, rise time budget and costs, link components; Rise-time, bit-rate and BW; Link design using different optical termination and management systems including SDH, SONET, ATM, PDH, PON, HDSL, OTN, etc.


Fibre Optics Networks today must support a variety of traffic types, including legacy traffic based on regional SONET ring structures that require multiple traffic adds/drops (that is, voice, asynchronous transfer mode [ATM], frame relay) but must also support high-speed Internet backbones that are typically express lanes that require little add/drop multiplexing.
