Sedgewall can supply a wide range of Paging Transmitters. These are transmitters which have been optimised to give the best performance in the Paging environment be it POCSAG, 2/5 Tone, Tone and Voice and the latest protocols FLEX and ERMES.

We have RF power outputs available from just 0.5Watt to 100Watt continuously rated. Higher powers can be supplied to order when necessary.

We assemble and test all configurations of Transmitter in our workshop before shipping and installing. The exact settings are made here and fully tested.

Additional to the Transmitter Range is a series of “Store and Forward” units. These are used to extend the physical range of the paging system beyond that covered by one Transmitter. Pages are received, stored and then re-transmitted when there are no other transmissions being made. This method eliminates the need for Private Wire (PW) connections from the Encoder to all but the first Transmitter in the system. It is a very cost effective way of improving and extending a system and helps create wide area networks.

Store & Forward Transmitters

The Store & Forward Paging Unit enables a POCSAG message to be decoded and re-transmitted, to extend the range of a paging network. By storing a received transmission and re-transmitting the message after a predetermined delay, it is possible to repeat POCSAG data on the same channel or re-transmit it on another frequency.
