Sedgewall have provided many sites with Local Area Paging systems. These include Hospitals, Power Stations, Oil Refinery sites, Transport Distribution Depots, and many more.

A Local Area is essentially defined as one site. The size of the site can vary enormously. Some sites require more than one transmitter to achieve as near to 100% cover as is possible. Others can be just a small office setup or Hotel and Restuarant.

It is well established that logistic efficiency is greatly improved in distribution depots by directing vehicles and prime movers to specific site locations by paging rather than Public Address (PA) systems. PA can be a problem where the depot is close to domestic estates due to noise. Pagers do not present that problem.

There are many variations of Local Paging Systems or Networks available from Sedgewall. These include Scope Datapage, Commtech Pagelynx and its variations, and Zetron small systems. Each requirement is tailored to meet the customer specification.
