The SafeSpeech HKU range is designed to meet the requirements of  Police, Fire and
Ambulance as well as Hauliers, Couriers, Taxis, Utilities, Dock and Airport Vehicles and
other Emergency Service and Professional users.

The HKU8 Hands-Free and Siren-Cancelling unit is being designed as a result of  urgent
requests to create crisp, clear siren free voice transmission between the Emergency
Service Vehicle and the Control room.
 
The unit is being designed around DSP based enhanced adaptive algorithms along with a
Reference Microphone to remove Siren Noise from the transmit path.  It is expected that the
 standard system will be supplied with our rear view mirror mounted Directional Vehicle
Microphone and a handbrake mounted PTT switch, and will work in conjunction with
Cleartone Radio Systems.

How does SirenStop work?

The output from the Handset/Hands-Free microphone is digitized and processed 44,000/sec
to remove up to 45dB of the siren content before entering the radio.  SirenStop is electronically transparent to the radio.
