This course covered the main electronic PCB boards that make up the NDB system.

These are dealt with in depth both in theory and in practice, with simulated faults that are put on to the boards for fault-finding exercises. This is the area that may fail.

The main wiring and power supplies are made from major components that are generously rated and are unlikely to fail and are very easy to fault-find. Also the Speech dialler use and programming is covered.
